About
I have been practicing for twenty years now. I first began doing yoga after our first child was born. It offered a gentle way to exercise and a quiet moment to myself. Since then I have practiced many different styles of yoga but tend to gravitate towards Ashtanga, Anusara, Yin, Restorative and Vinyasa style yoga. I am now a mother of four children and I regularly practiced yoga throughout my last three pregnancies. The benefits yoga provided for the labour and recovery were endless.
I have a physical education degree, precision nutrition coach, I am a certified personal trainer and yoga teacher.
I have always had a love for fitness and learning more about how the body works. The principles of yoga make sense. It requires you to move your body in a deliberate and meaningful way, with attention to how your body is positioned and focusing on your breath. What I love most is that it leaves you feeling calm, strong and refreshed. Contrary to popular belief yoga is not just about relaxation is about empowerment, physical strength and mental focus. I have had the privilege of learning from some amazing teachers and continue to learn everytime I step onto the mat.
